Thinking About Crane, Needing More Time
The semester is quickly drawing to a close and I feel my time running out. My goal is to make the crane move, just movement, before the end of the semester. It's overwhelming to learn so many new things, but good to stretch myself. I took a few days break, so I'm feeling more inspired to devote myself to making some things work.
Things I'm thinking about buying:
I think this should be all as I already have the motor from you, steel sheets, steel rounds, the crane, wire....
Questions:
Do I weld the ball bearing into the steel sheet? I'm imagining cutting a hole out of the steel sheet and either using the metal drill or the water jet to cut out the correct size circle. Then to insert the ball bearing... but how does it stay there?
Can I make "pins" on the ends of the rounds to keep them from falling out of the sheets by just welding another piece to it?
The chain is labeled as a a bike chain but it look like it'll still work?
